Div Com reviews arrangements for Nagar Kirtan in Srinagar | KNO

Srinagar, Nov 11 (KNO): Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Anshul Garg, Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the commemoration of the 350th year of the Martyrdom of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the organization of the Nagar Kirtan at Gurdwara Chhatti Patshahi, Srinagar. The meeting was attended by the Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Srinagar, Director Tourism Punjab, SSP Rural Traffic, SP Security, and members of the organizing committee. During the meeting, the Div Com reviewed civil, traffic, and security arrangements along the route from Qazigund to Gurdwara Chhatti Patshahi, Srinagar. He emphasized the need for smooth and coordinated arrangements to ensure the successful conduct of the Nagar Kirtan and the commemoration event. The Div Com directed for the deployment of magistrates along the designated route to facilitate convoy movement and maintain order during the procession. He appointed ADC Srinagar as the Nodal Officer for overall facilitation of the event, while Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Akramullah Tak, was designated as the Nodal Officer to coordinate inter-district arrangements. The Div Com also directed concerned departments to ensure comprehensive arrangements for VIP participation, including security, traffic management, and other necessary facilities at the venue. He stressed upon all departments to work in close coordination for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the commemoration events in the division—(KNO)
